Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

Description
Rollei A 26 Rangefinder Camera with Sonnar 40mm f/3.5 in Original Packaging
Condition and Limitations
Condition: good used condition.
The body shows only slight, age-appropriate signs of wear.
The viewfinder may be slightly dusty or cloudy.
Model and Requirements
The Rollei A26 is an analog rangefinder camera for 126 film cassettes with a square image format. It is not a standard camera for directly loaded 35mm film cartridges, nor is it a 110 pocket camera. The appropriate film format is therefore an essential purchasing requirement. Before planned use, clarify how you will obtain suitable cassettes and arrange for appropriate processing.
The automatic program links shutter speed and aperture. A frame line viewfinder is used to select the image composition; a green indicator shows sufficient exposure light. The options are therefore different from those of a SLR camera with freely interchangeable lenses and a fully manual shutter speed dial.
The original manual specifies a PX625 cell for the power supply. A modern cell with a similar designation is therefore not confirmed as an electrically equivalent replacement. A suitable modern solution must match the original design. A Rollei C26 flash or other historically documented accessories are only included if they are expressly stated in the specific scope of delivery.
