Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

A Rear Converter for the K System
The Rear Converter-A 2x is placed between a compatible Pentax K-system lens and the camera body. This allows you to capture a tighter frame from the same position. The A version also features a connection to the exposure system of compatible cameras and lenses.
Calculating Focal Length and F-Stop Together
The original manual describes the doubling of the focal length and the set f-stop. For example, 200 mm f/4 becomes 400 mm f/8. This corresponds to a loss of two f-stops of light. Therefore, consider the gained frame along with exposure time and sensitivity.
The A Contacts in the Exposure System
Pentax describes information contacts for A lenses. On compatible KA cameras, these can be used to utilize the intended exposure automation. For suitable older K combinations, the manual mentions open aperture metering and automatic aperture coupling. A is not a universal autofocus retrofit here.
Distinguishing S and L
Pentax offers 2x-S and 2x-L with different lens lists. The present catalog title does not clearly specify the subtype. Neither of the two lists is therefore transferred generally. For your setup, the exact version must match the optics; the 2x calculation and A system function are separate from this.
