Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

The Olympus µ mju II combines a built-in 35mm f/2.8 lens with a compact 35mm design. The focal length is suitable for a slightly wider shot with visible surroundings. This is a film camera for 35mm cartridges and not a later digital mju model.
Autofocus down to close range
According to the manufacturer, the active multi-field autofocus works from 0.35 meters. With focus lock, you can set the distance to your main subject before choosing the final framing. The comparatively short minimum distance expands the creative possibilities; for the exact framing, the close-range markings in the viewfinder should be observed.
Automatic exposure with conscious flash selection
The camera controls the exposure electronically as a program. In addition, spot metering is provided, with which a small area of the image can be specifically considered for the exposure. Various flash operating modes allow you to enable, disable, or consciously use the flash. The appropriate decision depends on the light, subject, and desired effect.
Motorized film advance
Loading, advancing, and rewinding the film are automatically supported. The film sensitivity is detected with suitable DX films. For operation, a 3V lithium battery CR123A or DL123A is provided. The functions of certain regional panorama or date variants are not derived from the name mju II alone.
Short minimum distance is no macro guarantee
The ability to get closer to a subject expands the composition. However, it means neither a change in the fixed focal length nor an unlimited macro function. In the close range, appropriate focus metering and viewfinder markings become particularly important. Therefore, when choosing the mju II, the combination of compact automation, fast prime lens, and short documented setting limit is more meaningful than a general expectation of every close-up subject.
