Battery disposal
Information on the disposal of old batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):
1. Free return of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can dispose of them at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a battery distributor, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the address listed in the imprint.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass, more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004 percent lead by mass, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

The Shooting Concept
The Canon PowerShot SX260 HS is a digital compact camera. The recording lens is designated 4.5-90mm 1:3.5-6.8. The fixed zoom covers a large range without having to change lenses.
Operation and Image Composition
Automatic and selectable exposure programs; photo and video. Choose the mode suitable for your subject and control the image composition before shooting. The choice of the image crop and the right shooting time remain crucial even with automatic camera control. For a series of images, it is worth establishing the crop and shooting conditions on a subject first. Above all, check whether the desired sharpness and the bright or dark image area suit your design. This way, you use the digital image control specifically for the next shot.
Lens and Shooting Planning
The permanently built-in lens forms a coordinated system with the camera. With the zoom, you choose the image crop, while your camera position determines the perspective. A longer focal length makes camera movements in the image more clearly visible. The real focal length is to be distinguished from a specification in the small image comparison. The comparison value describes the angle of view relative to another recording format; it is not an additional focal length of the built-in lens. This way, you can compare different camera concepts more meaningfully.
Storage and Further Processing
Recording is done on SD, SDHC, or SDXC. Both the card name and the capacity must match the model's requirements. For video, the required continuous write speed also counts. Secure the recordings before reformatting; a suitable card reader allows the transfer independently of historical camera software.
Suitable Power Supply
The intended power source is Canon NB-6L. For charging, you need a solution that matches the exact battery design. The same brand names or similar dimensions are not enough for identification. For longer recordings, you plan the power requirement and storage capacity together.
