What we check

  • Menu and buttons: The menu opens, and navigation and confirmation work
  • Display, including touch, if available: The display is stable, and the controls respond correctly
  • Shutter: fires reliably, and the photo is taken
  • Storage function: Images are saved and can be accessed
  • Autofocus with a test lens: focuses reliably

What we don’t check

  • App connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
  • Battery life
